Charlie Ruth Welty earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Arizona, a Master of Music degree from the University of Washington, and her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Cal Poly Humboldt.
Hello!
My name is Charlie Ruth Welty, and I am a music educator, performer, and instructional content creator!
I offer in-person and virtual one-on-one lessons for students of all ages and abilities wishing to learn guitar, piano, bass guitar, double bass, and music theory!
In addition to these instruments, I offer special lessons focused on music and STEM education, teaching music with coding and computer science!
My Teaching
My lessons begin with a student-centric approach; each lesson plan is custom tailored to each student’s learning style, goals, and musical interests, with focus being on holistic skill-building. Studying with me, students can expect to not only gain mastery of their favorite songs, but also attain greater mental focus, persistence, and deeper knowledge of music’s inner workings.
